NRA Carry Guard is not for everyone.
All NRA Carry Guard Courses are designed for who already have a CCW permit*.
Our courses are only for those committed to protecting themselves and/or others.
If they are not dedicated to these ideals and committed to developing the mindset necessary to carry competently and confidently, this training is not for them.
All NRA Carry Guard Training revolves around the ideas that: 1) The best do the basics better, and 2) We don’t rise to the occasion, we fall to our level of training.
*(A CCW permit is a pre-requisite. If you live in a constitutional carry state and do not have a permit, you can still take the training upon completion of a background check.)
Each course also includes discussion and application of legal use of force in a defensive CCW situation or scenario. All students are evaluated on a timed course of fire. Only a passing score earns a certificate. There are no participation certificates.
NRA Carry Guard is not just another defensive pistol course. The drills and skills are designed for a CCW environment.
All NRA Carry Guard courses are for those who take carrying a gun seriously. It is training for those who realize it takes more than a gun to be well-armed and who understand that carrying every day requires discipline, education and a respectful appreciation of the magnitude of drawing the gun from the holster.
NRA Carry Guard Training consists of instruction from the finest collection of trainers who believe in drilling the fundamentals. Their philosophy: The best do the basics better.
In select NRA Carry Guard courses, we extend into the darkness to get experience shooting and managing the weapons in low-light and nighttime situations.
We drill the fundamentals on the range, then we apply those fundamentals to real-world scenarios.
Our classroom sessions cover details about the CCW lifestyle you may never have considered. And almost certainly haven’t practiced.
