Grant Stinchfield calls attention to an article in the Daily Signal detailing the long history and many positive effects of concealed carry on college campuses.
Grant highlights one particularly telling quote: “The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concluded that ‘self-defense can be an important crime deterrent,’ and that studies evaluating the actual effects of defensive firearm use consistently find ‘lower injury rates among gun-using crime victims compared with victims who used other self-protective strategies.’”
This is important, Grant explains, because anti-gun activists like to pretend that a gun is no better than any other defensive tool. In fact, firearms combined with training are highly effective at protecting against bodily harm. Our college students deserve the right to arm themselves against danger.
NRA Carry Guard Daily airs live on NRATV Monday through Friday at 12:30 p.m. Central, 1:30 p.m. Eastern. Past episodes are available on NRA Carry Guard and on NRATV.
Actress Bree Michael Warner of CSI Miami and iCarly, who recently participated in an NRA Carry Guard training course, says that the training helped her to approach situations with the proper mindset instead of being limited to hitting targets.
Grant Stinchfield explores the NRA Carry Guard content that will be featured at this year’s NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, taking place May 3-6 in Dallas.
